If not, congrats – you aren’t old yet!
Do you know how many baby boomers get even OLDER each and every day? All of them and eventually that means stairs will become a real challenge. With todays less ‘accomadating’ youth though, and retirement funds being destroyed, chances are that nursing home in Puerto Rico is out reach as well.
So your stuck spending your golden years in your same house, unable to even get to the second floor without the very real possibility of serious injury should a fall occur? That sucks.
Ah, but there’s a solution – the stair lift. It’s kinda like a elevator that gets bolted into your existing stair well. I think these have a lot of potential in the next 5-10 years so you long ballers should get in now. I’ve had my eye on the acorn stair lifts and you can read up about them yourself over there.
Looks like some insurance covers installation right now but I’ll bet if this healthcare law stands these will all be covered, so stock in these companies will be gold plated. Do your own research though!

Alright, you know those commercials about buying up yearly payments for lump sums?
These businesses are going to explode in the next 10-15 years as baby boomers realize they’ve raised an entire generation of spoiled, entitled children. The last chance they have is throwing their money into fixed income annuities or similar vehicles and trying to lock their children out of destroying their lives.
This is your typical trust fund idea.
Well, obviously what we want to do is invest in the people who buy those handsome yearly payments for a (relatively) cheap lump sum payment.
It’s brilliant, and I’m very bullish on it.

I don’t think the recent hype is anything to worry about. All the info I’m seeing show saltless water softeners to be quite safe.
But remember, when the sheep panic, the wolves double down. You see a stock falling double down on that shit. These things are great, I use one myself. If you HAVE hard water – you will buy these.
The safety concerns are bunk, hard water is bad for you too – worse even! helllloooo!!!!
Check it out for yourself though.
Keep it gully son.

This just goes into a little more depth about those water softeners I mentioned the other day. I really think these are gonna kick off in the next couple of years. People are getting old and you know our water quality isn’t improving so water treatment in general should take off.
Combine that with a product that lets retired folks stay independent longer and save money every month? It’s a no-brainer…
Oh, and did I mention the fear factor? The scary mineral plaque could end up costing thousands in plumbing repairs if you don’t outfit yourself with some form of hard water system, the older the buyer – the easier the solution, salt free water softeners are gonna be taking over.
First the baby boomers for health and practicality, then the gen-x crowd out of a sheer laziness. You heard it here first!

I’ve been seeing a lot of uptick in retail sales volumes on the salt free water softener lines. Especially Culligan which appears to have a higher brand recognition and appeal, actual quality is questionable…
I expect sales to increase as baby boomers further age and seek out a no salt water softener solution. Those bags are heavy, usually fifty pounds, and need to be refreshed often. Grandpa won’t be doing that forever but he won’t be in the nursing home just yet either so products that offer an extension on independence are only going up.
Some areas require a water softener saltless or not. If your parents happen to live in one, the least you can do it it buy it. Some systems are referred to as salt free water conditioners but the concept is exactly the same.
Oh, I almost forgot the best part. You know how cheap your parents are? Okay, I am too and these saltless water softeners save a lot of money. In the long run, they could even pay for themselves. No more salt, saving money, keeping grampa safe and happy in his place…
It’s a great investment, and is gonna happen.
