Saltless Water Softeners Save Money

Quite simply these saltless water softeners do not require salt. The cash saving from not buying salt is quite significant on it’s own but it gets even better. Some systems don’t even require electricity to operate, potentially saving hundreds more a year. These systems are also perfect for the elderly or just plain lazy. Once you stop loading salt you’ll wonder why you ever did it in the first place.

No need to constantly recharge with salt also  means it’s ecologically friendly to operate a salt free water conditioner. You don’t need to worry about buying all those chemicals or releasing them into the ground water anymore! You’ll also be saving your back and shoulders, we all know how heavy those bags of salt get. Especially when your wife gets the “brilliant” idea to buy them in bulk. Thanks hun!!

Hydrocare Saltless Water Softeners

Well, I know a lot of you have been waiting and the info is finally in my hands and I’m going to share with you what I’ve found about the Hydrocare saltless water softeners.

Many of you have noted the low cost of these systems, this is true, I’ve found them online for under three hundred dollars and some readers have told me of late night television ads offering the system for as little as a hundred and fifty dollars. This is obviously far less than the five or six hundred you may pay for any number of saltless water softeners. This is truly the most inexpensive system I’ve seen to date, but that savings isn’t worth anything at all if all you’ve bought is a pretty paper weight. The next question is – do they work?

The jury seems split folks, I wish I could tell you definitively but from what I’ve read there’s no consensus. Now, if you’re in agreement that the electrical hydrolosis method of saltless water softeners work it’s no stretch to imagine this is just a more efficient and cheaper version though. Let’s dig deeper into this quandry and see if we can get to the bottom of these systems.

Saltless Water Softeners – A New Variety Emerges

As we continue to research saltless water softeners we’ve also been lucky enough to receive a load of feedback. One of our visitors brought the EasyWater systems to our attention. Although I’d seen adds I assumed the system worked in a similar manner and was just a different brand. That is not exactly the case though, these actually have a couple of distinct advantages over both traditional systems and those operating under the principles we discussed earlier.

In our last article we specifically discussed the Kinetico system, which is quite effective. One of the drawbacks we didn’t highlight, however, was how much water is used. I assumed this was just how the systems worked, they used less last bt more water. Well the EasyWater system works on a different principle entirely.  I’ve been told by an expert the ratio of used to usable water may be as high as two to one in the less efficient saltless water softeners.

Are Saltless Water Softeners Safe?

It’s only natural to question whether any new appliance is safe, especially if it will come in direct contact with the water your family drinks, cooks with, and bathes in - like a saltless water softener. Let’s try to answer some of the most common concerns and figure out just how much you should really be worried.

When you’ve dealt with hard water you know all about dry skin. The dissolved salts that make the water “hard” also precipitate (a fancy word for un-dissolve) out and form an itchy crust on your skin. This is bad enough but if anyone in your household suffers from eczema or psoriasis you can find the condition worsening simply because of the water quality.

What Is A Saltless Water Softener?

There are many questions you might have about saltless water softeners. This post has information on water softeners, including the no salt water softener, and how they work. It’s important to know what problem you’re solving when trying to find a solution so let’s start off by discussing what hard water is and why it can be such an issue.

Water is considered “hard” if a large amount of magnesium and or calcium is dissolved in it. This condition causes several problems.
